A Green Thumb Community Garden in East New York. A peaceful place for community members to meet with a common goal in gardening. Handicap accessible with raised beds and bathroom. Building relationships and skills in all areas of horticulture. Teaching youth of all ages the fundamentals of planting and giving them shared spaces to grow items of their choosing. We are equipped with a starter green house and butterfly house. The green house is used to store and grow plants and vegetables year-round. The butterfly house has several types of flowers that attract butterflies as well as feed the caterpillars. The butterfly house is also transparent. Adult can see inside while allowing children to enter the butterfly house and walk around.
